The GHXCPC is powered by volunteers — people like you who care about public safety, dignity, and connection.
Volunteer with Us
At the Gastown Hastings Crossing Community Policing Centre (GHXCPC), volunteers are the heart of everything we do. We bring together residents, local businesses, and community partners to create a safer, more connected neighbourhood.
Whether you’re walking the streets on patrol, helping a neighbour at our front desk, or representing us at a community event, you’ll be making a real impact. No previous experience is needed — we provide all the training and support you need.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
Work alongside the Vancouver Police Department, ICBC, and local organizations on safety and education initiatives.
Take part in programs like Foot Patrols, Road Safety campaigns, Community Cleanups, and Outreach events.
Build new skills in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving — with opportunities to take on more responsibility as our centre grows.
Most importantly, you’ll be joining a diverse and dedicated team working together for the well-being of Gastown and Hastings Crossing.
