Honouring Survivors & Inspiring the Future.

Join the community in solemn remembrance and powerful cultural connection on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as we ‘Honouring the Past, Healing the Present, Inspiring the Future’. The main event is hosted by the Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre (VACPC) in partnership with local organizations. Wear an orange shirt to show solidarity with support.

The Gastown Hastings Crossing Community Policing Centre will be attending the honour walk.

Honour Walk

Begins at 10:00 a.m.
Route: From the Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre (1719 Franklin St.) to Grandview Park (1657 Charles St.)

Cultural Gathering
12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Park
Includes:

  • Indigenous performances

  • Sacred fire ceremony

  • Indigenous market
